Butler’s second YMCA building features interestingly detailed (but sparse) ornamentation. Unusual are the separate entrances on the sides, marked ‘Boys’ and ‘Men.’

The architect of this building couldn’t be determined, but its graceful, classical lines and simple ornamentation, along with its sheathing of red brick and terra cotta, resembles the Butler High School of 1917 designed by W. George Eckles.
