Salt Sand: The massive pebbly Connoquenessing Sandstone, one of the "Salt Sands" of the driller, forms Coopers Rock. The "Salt Sands" produce oil and natural gas in West Virginia and commercial brines on the Kanawha and Ohio Rivers.
