Mass DPW/Middlesex St at MBTA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This disk is on the south side of Middlesex Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is set in the wingwall of the bridge over the railroad tracks west of Thorndike Street which come out north of the MBTA station. The mark is at sidewalk-level, set basically underneath a chain-link fence.

Note that MY0316 is close, but not up here. It is at track level, on the west side of the tracks. The best way to reach it is to take Middlesex across the tracks to Arch Street (the road that loops under the bridge alongside the tracks) and to look down from the concrete retaining wall there. Use caution, of course.
