The Underground Adventure exhibit at the Field Museum is a great stop for kids. In the exhibit you go through this machine that "shrinks" you down to the size of an ant. Then you wander through an "underground" exhibit to discover what things look like under the soil.
Here you'll find this sit-by-me statue, or rather, sit-in-me statue. The statue is of a larval shell. Kids crawl inside and pretend to be the emerging insect.
Coordinates listed are for the entrance to the Field Museum. You'll find the Underground Adventure exhibit in the basement level.
Location description: Basement level (entrance level from Grant Park side)
