Please be aware that some of the trails in this park are for hikers only. There are free maps at the trailhead. Stop and pick one up if you are unfamiliar with Deer Creek Canyon Park.

There are a few combinations of trails to ride depending on how much time and energy you have. From the parking lot take the Plymouth Creek Trail. At about 1.8 miles you have a choice of which direction to go to complete the Plymouth Mountain loop trail. If you have made it this far, you have done the most techincal parts of the trail and the rest of either loop trail should be a piece of cacke! If you choose to go left at the junction, the trail gradually works its way around the east of the hill and up to the top. If you continue straight you have more choices to make in about .2 mile at the next junction. If you continue on the Plymouth Mountain loop trail, it is steep and smooth all the way to the top. You will know you have reached the top of the Plymouth Mountain Trail when you reach the Scenic View Trail. This is a short trail (.4 mile) with great views near the end. At the top of this trail you will have gained about 1220 feet elevation and ridden about 2.5 miles one way.

If you chose not to take the Plymouth Mountain trail in favor of the Red Mesa Loop Trail you will be treated with a nice hilly ride through the pine trees and a couple of beautiful meadows. If you complete this loop, you will have gained about 1370 feet elevation at the highest point and ridden about 7 miles by the time you make it back to the parking lot.

The above described trails are the two main rides in this park. Of course it is always fun to mix and match the trails or go the opposite way around on the loops. Have fun!
