Quick Description: Modern covered structure built in the 1970s to replace a one-lane bridge over Sheep Pen Creek on a great backroad from Highway 199 over the Smith River through the redwoods into Crescent City.

Long Description:
This is one of the lesser known and more recent covered bridges in California. I have known of its existence for over twenty years through books, but only recently visited it for the first time thanks to a Virtual Geocache here ("http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=1db314e7-cbf5-447f-8546-2f3cb95c2e5a" target="_blank">visit link) .
Current Condition of Bridge: Excellent and driveable

This graceful, boat-like romantic structure is constructed of laminated engineered-wood.
