We were actually told about this park by the Route 66 Museum located in Pontiac, IL. So we decided to go looking for it. It's right on the river there and there are two bridges. There is also an old 1925 above ground pool that's closed up but neat to look at. It was a very nice side trip during our Rt 66 journey. The view from the bridge in the middle of the river was very nice. We tried to see if we could get the bridges going and they did, very sturdy though, they didn't move too much.
Update by category manager: This is "Bridge 2" per the Pontiac Tourism Bureau which "connects the Play Park and Chautauqua Park - Eden M. Johnson Memorial circa 1926".
