Famous journalist and host of NBC's "Meet the Press" Tim Russert was born in south Buffalo, NY. South Buffalo Alive is an organization dedicated to beautifying the community and improving the quality of life for its residents with wondrous gardens and green space. Together, a children's garden was established in the neighborhood were Russert grew up. It was achieved by donations from Russert, along with grants from local politicians. The garden is a place where people can sit and relax, read books from the neighboring Dudley Branch Library and enjoy summer’s nature with children.
There are a few benches to sit at and enjoy the area, along with a small pavilion.
