This 1.5-acre dog park opened on May 20, 2006. The fenced-in dog park offers multiple entry gates, dog-waste stations, water stations and plenty of shade trees.

Other amenities at Lake Idamere Park include a fishing pier, canoe launch, walking trails and a boundless playground. The boundless playground assures that children of all abilities will be able to play in a safe area created to meet their special needs. The specialized playground equipment with pour-in-place rubber foundation can be enjoyed by children with physical challenges without leaving their support equipment.
