"The Dieterle-Weidmayer farm at 10044 Pleasant Lake Road in Freedom
Township is now operated by Dale E. Weidmayer who owns 255 acres and works 300. His livestock includes 75 cows , 45 sheep, some pigs and chickens. He also shears sheep.

(In past years more sheep have been raised in Washtenaw County than any other county east of the Mississippi.)"
