Port Dover has a long history of fishing, and the intrepid men that took boats and ships into the often dangerous waters to earn their living.
Now a days, Port Dover is a popular beach destination during the summer months and has many shops and restaurants for the huge crowds that come to visit.
One should know that EVERY Friday the 13th, Port Dover is the destination for motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the place. The town is pretty much full bikes and their riders on that day so those that wish to avoid big crowds might want to pick a different day.
The Erie Beach Hotel offers accommodation for those people wishing to spend the night, and beside the sign for the hotel is this large carving of a fisherman like those that worked the lake.
Hope you enjoy the Waymark Visit!
