This old Pennsylvania RR tunnel was in service from 1907, with two tracks provided. It was plugged in 1950 when the nearby dam was built to keep the lake from escaping. The track was rerouted. The photos include a picture of both the new and old bridges over the valley. See the sign photo for additional details. The Pennsylvania Main Line Canal also ran nearby, linking Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and the Ohio River. See the various maps for an indication of where the name came from. There is a nearby cache, rumor has it.
