Stevens Arch is found along the Escalante River and is usually explored by people hiking the Coyote Gulch. It is a natural arch that dominates the skyline as you hike along the river bottom.
The rumor is that an airplane has flown through the arch. Whether or not that is true I can't say, but if it is true whoever did it is pretty brave and daring.
Photo of the Arch by itself?: yes
Type of Arch: Wind Eroded
Type of Material: The arch is carved out of the sandstone rock that is dominant in this country. It is probably formed from both wind and water erosion.
