Vlermuisgrot is Afrikaans for Batscave, from the smell of the cave there must be hundreds of the little critters hiding up there.

Bats cave is a large cave along the Kransroete on the Rustig Farm. You must hike the 7km Kransroete to get to the cave, the cost to hike in the area is R30 PP.

The Hike:

Driving directions to the cave:
To get to the farm approach from the R560 and turnoff at S25 51.298 E27 40.364
Continue to the T-Junction and turn left (S25 50.007 E27 39.826)
Turn right at S25 50.169 E27 39.116.
Park at the reception of Rustig Farm (S25 48.516 E27 38.283)
