Old Stone Church was erected in 1808 and was the first of thid denomination in the North Branch Valley of the Susquehanna.

The restoration of this old Methodist Shrine through the efforts of Rev. Alfred S. Bowman, and preservation through the will of Dr. J. J. Brown.
