Nelson's has been around for years. I remember seeing the big diamond lit up as a kid when we'd go to Auburn to do school shopping. This type of sign was a typical one sold to jewelers back in the 1940's and 50's.
You'll find the business on E. Main Street in downtown Auburn. Next door is the Auburn Avenue dinner theater, still with the old marquee from the original theater. It is neon too, but not especially interesting. Across the street is a great neon diner sign that I didn't have time to waymark, so if anyone is in the area, be sure to waymark it.
