Perlstein Hall, formerly the Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Building was renamed in honor of a wife of longtime IIT trustee Harris Perlstein. Perlstein Hall is the largest of the Mies academic buildings in the core area. The building was built 1945-46 and houses many administrative offices along with the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.
