Long Description:
The Paradise Inn was built in 1917 in the historic rustic
park-style of architecture. It has 118 rooms, a restaurant and
lounge inside.
In 1919, Hans Fraehnke, a German carpenter, designed and built
much of the decorative woodwork that exists today inside the inn,
including a rustic piano and a 14 foot grandfather clock.
Starting in 2005 the Inn is undergoing an extensive renovation
and is slated to re-open in the 2008 season. A new Visitor center
is being constructed next door to replace the Jackson Visitor
Center.
