Long Description:
The Saga of the Norseman
The Mark V Norseman was first constructed in 1934 by RBC (Bob)
Noordyun in Montreal. He consulted with northern pilots and
operators on northern bush operations and aircraft
requirements.
This aircraft had a long reliable career starting with the
Manitoba government in September 1946. Almost 1000 of this hardy
aircraft were constructed and used around the world.
The Aerospace Museum Association of Calgary, PetroCanada Centre
Owners RCI brought this plane to the building. It was placed in
1984 and dedicated to the Bush Pilots who opened the north.
