The original two-story Bland County Courthouse was constructed during the period 1871-1874 and a two-story office area was added to the south side of the courthouse in 1949. Only minor renovations have occurred since this time. The original courthouse appears much as it did when completed in 1874, and the original courtroom are still in use today.
