The Wythe County Courthouse is located in downtown Wytheville, Virginia. The courthouse serves as the seat of Wythe County Government, which was named after George Wythe, who was the first Virginian to Sign the Declaration of Independence. Wythe County is also the Birthplace of the “Father of Texas,” Stephen F. Austin, and Edith Bolling Wilson, Wife of President Woodrow Wilson. The Wythe County Courthouse is located on a small hill in downtown Wytheville, Virginia.
