The Pulaski County Courthouse is built of "Peak Creek Sandstone," and was originally constructed in 1896. The clock and belfry was added to the building in 1911. The stone arch that stands at the entrance to the courthouse square served as the entrance arch at the Jamestown Exposition in 1907. The courthouse was almost completely destroyed by fire in December 1989. The interior was completely reconstructed following the fire and was reopened to the public in early 1991. Today the courthouse still serves the citizens of Pulaski County, and visitors are welcome to visit several exhibits on display that details the history of the area.
