This disk is not listed in the NGS on-line database. I noticed it on the Castle Creek quadrangle and decided to look for it today. The mark is located at the Southeast corner of the intersection of East Maine Road and Commercial Drive. I actually found this mark laying in the ditch on the side of the road. I found a hole and think the mark was located about 4 feet West of a utility pole (# 824 115-1 30K). The mark and its rod have been bent out of shape pretty badly. I think it must have had a run in with a snow plow this winter. It isn't used for geodetic control so I stuck it back in the ground where I thought it belonged. The mark is stamped 27 CRH and 1968. The elevation was not stamped on the disk but the topographic map lists it as 1492 feet.
