Nine Gables Vineyard and Winery is a family owned and operated winery, which began in 1998. The name comes from the nine gables on the house built in 1992 by Jerry and Pam Notestine. Nine Gables Vineyard and Winery is located on what was once the Old Peroni Ranch. The Peroni family settled on the 120 acre ranch in the Shenandoah Valley in the late Nineteen or early Twentieth Century. Mr. Peroni worked in Plymouth in the Alleghany mine (which ceased operations shortly after World War II).
