This cave is just one of several in the area. The cave is open to exploring between May 2 - Oct 14, but is closed the remainder of the year to protect the bat population.
The cave is located approx. 8 miles north of Shoshone, ID and is just to the north of Idaho's Mammoth Cave off a very well maintained desert road. Vehicles with moderate clearance should have no problem on the track road to the cave site.
As always, when exploring in the desert, keep an eye out for the critters that inhabit this aird land that could spoil your day.
