Glassybaby: the glass-blowing studio of Seattle's most famous little vessel

Glassybaby is a delightful small business that specializes in handmade blown glass vessels that are all of the same shape. Glassybabys are completely enchanting - the blowing process includes several layers of rich, inviting colors, so each glassybaby is completely vibrant and completely irresistable. Glassybaby has been called a cup, vase, or votive...but these descriptors don't capture their uniqueness or charm.
This waymark is for the Glassybaby studio, where you can see glass artisans in action creating Glassybaby. This is a new location for Glassybaby - they recently moved from a smaller location in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle.
Glassybaby has been featured in multiple home magazines, and Martha Stewart even made a trip to the Greenlake sudio to do one of her television shows there. ("bedford brown" was a Glassybaby that was concocted by Martha, and is for sale at the studio or online)
Glassybaby was created by Lee Rhodes, a cancer survivor who was looking for light in her life during and after recovery, and found glass blowing. This simple vessel shape was one of her first projects, but she found that she found great solace in the rich color and simple shape. She also found that others were drawn to it - soon, she had friends and friends of friends asking to buy them from her, and soon, a business was born.
Do visit - this is a great find in Seattle!
