The Detroit River is one of the Premier Walleye Fisheries in the World, both the U.S. and the Canadian sides offer excellent Walleye fishing.

Spring time brings the Walleye up from Lake Erie to Feed and Spawn.

Recommended tackle: Chartreuse Jig heads and Minnows

Recommended fishing methods:
Using Chartreuse Jig heads and Minnows while vertically jigging seems to be the most productive, handlining also works well.
