"Zoulou" Waymark

[FR] Le Zoulou est une statue qui, si elle en impose avec ses trois cent kilos, représente avant tout pour son auteur « la liberté, la solidarité ». Très attaché à l’Afrique, Jean-Claude Lorenzo a souhaité honorer ce continent qu’il affectionne particulièrement. « Ses rastas sont des chaînes que j’ai piquées aux allemands pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale ». Néanmoins, l’artiste se refuse à communiquer ses intentions, de peur d’imposer une interprétation.
Cette sculpture est placée le long des fortifications médiévales d'Avignon, ville classée au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco (voyez le waymark "WMWCM") et à quelques pas du célèbre "Pont d'Avignon".

[ENG] The Zulu is a statue which, if it imposes some with its three hundred kilos, represents above all for its author “freedom, solidarity”. Very attached to Africa, Jean-Claude Lorenzo wish to honour this continent that it affectionate particularly. “Its rastas is chains which I pricked with German during the Second World war”. Nevertheless, the artist refuses to communicate his intentions, of fear of imposing an interpretation.
This sculpture is placed along the medieval fortifications of Avignon, city classified with the world inheritance of UNESCO (see waymark “WMWCM”) and with some steps of famous “the Bridge of Avignon”.
