Located in the High Range subdividsion of Las Cruces, this colorful mural was painted in honor of the 500th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of America. It depicts Columbus' three ships. One ship holds Columbus and three other sailors as well as a mysterious crowned skeleton.
On the other side is a representative map of Mexico in the shape of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god of the Aztecs and Toltecs.
