Horse Thief Cave is located within Wapsipinicon State park in Animosa, Iowa. The cave entrance is rather large, but the cave narrows to the point of being impassable after 50 feet or so. A second small crevice cave (Ice cave) is located down the trail from Horse Thief Cave.
If caves are your thing, don't make a special trip just to see these two. You're bound to be disappointed. If you're in the area, though, don't hesitate to swing by.
