A Roman house was uncovered here in 1896, in which broken pieces of a relief of the Romano-Celtic goddess of horses, Epona were found. Further remains of walls were found in the vacinity. Numerous sherds of glazed Roman pottery indicate one of two known pottery kilns located in Württemberg.
The names of potters Domitanus, Reginus, Marinus, and Camulatus could be discerned on stamps that were found here. A brick manufacture was discovered in 1904 in the Laihle field. All buildings arguably belonged to a single large operation.
