This fountain is in memory of Dr. Laurel Salton Clark who was from Racine Wisconsin. She was a mission specialist on the space shuttle Columbia when it broke apart on re-entry. There is a good web site at www.laurelclark.org that shows pictures of Racine and photos of the mission.

Bring your swimming suit, it is a favorite cooling off place in the downtown area.
