This is a pedestrian only covered bridge in a rest area at about mile marker 62 on I-74 between Peoria and Galesburg, IL. It is on a walking path leading to a look-out tower that has been Waymarked, WM12WE, Spoon River Rest Area Look Out Tower. There is a geocache, GCNJK1, in this rest area and crossing the bridge is necessary to get to the cache.
This bridge and rest area is accessible only from the eastbound lanes of I-74. There is a rest area on the westbound lanes but there is no access to the covered bridge or look-out tower from there.
The bridge was built in 1981 and is 97 feet long. It crosses a small creek.
