Long Description:
The building the Starbucks Corporation is headquartered in was originally built in 1912 to house Seattle's new Sears location and has been a a Seattle landmark long before Starbucks was even formed. Starbucks saved the building from demolition and renovated it, adding its mermaid icon to the clock tower.
