This ice rink is on the Midway Plaisance in Hyde Park/Woodlawn, Chicago. A relatively new structure, finished in 2001, the rink is open from December to February, possibly other times, weather permitting. In earlier times, portions of the Midway were flooded in the winter for ice skating. A building at the area houses skate rentals, a café, and a warming house.
