Yestor also known as Easter Green was a medieval Dartmoor Longhouse.
Substantial ruins can be seen including outhouses and paddocks. If you notice on the north wall of the house you will see two well preserved recesses at ground level, over the years there has been various suggestions as to what they were, the best explanation I have heard is that they were cupboards.
The farm was occupied from the 1500’s to the 1800’s. The farm was probably abandoned when the quarries closed in the area. The ruins are very close to the track bed of the old Yelverton/Princetown Railway and is within a fenced newtake. There is an access gate on the railway on the King Tor side of the farm.
