The Louisiana Public Library was built in 1905 using a Carnegie grant. The library of one of the first ten Carnegie libraries built in Missouri. The building was the first public library in Louisiana, a Mississippi River and railroad town about 75 miles north of St. Louis. The building continues to serve as the public library for the town.
