Central City is proud of being "The Center of it All". The county seat of Merrick County, this town is actually about a hundred miles from the geographical center of the state but it was given this name because it is centrally located in the agricultural region of Nebraska. This sign is on Rt.14 at the south edge of town. There are larger signs with the same motto on Rt 30.
