The Rossio trainstation (Estação de Caminhos de Ferro do Rossio) was built between 1886 and 1887 and became an important landmark of the Rossio square in Lisbon. The Station was built by architect José Luís Monteiro and was an important addition to the infrastructure of the city. Its beautiful neo-manueline façade dominates the northwest side of the Rossio square.
(from wikipedia)
The Rossio trainstation is temporarily closed due to undergoing works on the train tunnel that gives access to the station but, as soon as the works end it will reopen to train circulation.
The façade was also subject of renewal works.
