The Boy Scout has long been an icon of many desireable characteristics. The fame here is more in the collective history of the body of Scouting than in a specific individual.

The design for this Scout dates back to 1911 and has been used in a variety of mediums including 18" bronze, Plaster, Life Size Bronze and likeliness in a host of others.

To claim this one, take a picture at the site, or create a Waymark for the similar life size "Boy Scout" statue in your area and link both ways in your log entry. Locations as of 1988 and a history of "The Scout" are listed at: (visit link)
