A Roman residential district of the 1st century A. D. was followed by a large building in which the inhabitants of the Imperial Residence City of Augusta Treverorum of the 3rd and 4th centuries enjoyed the comforts of Roman bath culture.
Of particular note are the cold bath hall (frigidarium), the baths excercise area (palaestra) and limestone paving blocks, swimming pool, drainage culverts, heating installation (praefurnium), sewers, hot bath hall (caldarium) and underfloor heating (hypocaustum), warm bath hall (tepidarium), and undressing hall.
For non-German speakers there is an English language guide available for a small fee from the ticket desk.
