Airport 'discovered' on 7 november 2004 during the geocache hunt "FLY AWAY" (GCJG7Y).
Seppe Airport is door de heer A. van Campenhout gesticht. Het vliegveld werd voor het eerst in gebruik genomen op 28 augustus 1949 als zweefvliegveld; sinds 14 juli 1969 kunnen motervliegtuigen van het vliegveld gebruikmaken. In 2002 is de baan van 830 meter verhard. De start- en landingsbaan is 23 meter breed en de taxibaan is 11 meter breed.
