This train station is no longer here. Word has it that it is being relocated, again, to a golf course in Gahanna. Originally located across town, this train station was moved near the elementary school in Prospect, Ohio

I first posted this one over in the train stations category, and TheBeanTeam was nice enough to point me over here since it fit in this category as well.
This station was formerly located near N 40.45114 W 83.17919, and was moved to its current location. This move was done in 1973 after the depot had closed. The former mayor purchased the building, and had it moved. At that time the station was restored and began to amass various railroad memorabilia.
This station was moved before I was born, but I recall as a kid, looking into the windows of the train station. At that time it seemed to be abandoned and neglected. I don't remember seeing any railroad items inside.
Several years ago the train station was purchased to turn into a restaurant. Shortly after there was a small fire there which set the renovations back. Though it did finally open, and was popular for a while. They kept much of the original interior of the building, and decked the walls with various railroad memorabilia, and pictures of Prospect's past, and also had a model train that ran around along the ceiling of the restaurant.
Being that Prospect only has about 1,000 residents, and it's out of the way for most people outside of town, the attraction of it faded, and it was closed. Eventually it was repurchased and opened as a restaurant, and again closed a short time later. It was purchased a 3rd time about a year ago, and I'm not certain if it ever re-opened, but when I was there to take the pictures and waypoint, it was again for sale. I was kind of disappointed to see that since I was hoping to grab some lunch while I was there. I always enjoyed their food, which was "home cooking" style fare.
