As you are driving north on NM 64, following the Rio Grande, and have just passed the Embudo Station on your left (sort of not needed because there is just a cliff on the right all this way) you will come to a pull out on the left, which is where you will need to park. This is my firtr case of marking parking because if you do not park here you will never find the bridge. Or at least it will be very difficult. So you park ( & lock the car) and head down the path I've pictured. It has several switchbacks and I urge you to go slowly. You will shortly arrive at the swinging bridge. Which is considered safe to walk on and will continue to be right up until the point it falls into the river. Enjoy.
Visit Instructions:
  • Walk across the bridge! That is why you came here, wasn't it?
  • Bring a camera so that you can take a photo of the bridge. Upload at least one photo that you took of the bridge, you or others can be in the photo.
  • Include any additional history that you may know or have learned about the bridge.
  • Last but not least, include any story you may have about finding the bridge or your journey across the bridge.
