Het PAK kanon van Zandoerle heeft een hele geschiedenis. Het is een "Panzer Abwehr Kanone" van het type 40, met een kaliber van 75 mm. Het werd tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog door de bezetter gebruikt om vanuit Wintelre richting Oerle te schieten. Ze hadden zich in Wintelre gevestigd omdat daar een vliegveld was. Tijdens de bevrijding is er een zwaar gevecht geweest tussen troepen van de bezetter en geallieerde troepen.
