Here along the shores of Lake Erie is where a lot of firsts for the LDS took place. This was the harbor where the first mission of the Quorum of the Twelve left in 1835. It is also the place where the first LDS mission to England left to find converts in the Old World (1837). This was also the place where recent converts of New England first set eyes on the new community set up by Joseph Smith JR. All in all this is a place of many firsts for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
There is a small plaque at the corner of the road that tells the tale. The coords will take you right to it. If you can, take a picture of yourself with at the site. If you don't have a camera then just email me what BIG structre is behind the plaque.
