Canadian National Railway steam engine 6218 is the cornerstone artifact of the Fort Erie Railroad Museum. Built in 1948, the 4-8-4 wheel configuration Northern type served well into the 1960s. In its retirement it serves as a reminder of days past when Fort Erie boasted the third-largest railyard in Canada.
The museum is open on the following dates:
Victoria Day-Labour Day: Daily 9-5
Labour Day-Thanksgiving: Sat & Sun 9-5
Winter: closed
Admission is only $2 for adults, $1 for children. The admission grants you access to three of Fort Erie's museums!
