The fountain is turned off during our Iowa winters. When the water's running it is lit with colored lights at night. The iron fence around the fountain was constructed by a local welder/blacksmith. There are numerous other waypoints in Central Park and the surrounding area, some of which celebrate the town's Dutch heritage.

Central Park can be approached by Main, Broadway, Franklin, and Washington streets. Parking is available on all four sides of the block.
