Carnegie Viersen Library was built in 1906. When I came to town in the 1980s, the library was still at this location, with the children's library downstairs and the adult upstairs. As the city grew, so did interest in expanding the library. A new library was built a few blocks from this location in 1999. The Carnegie building was converted to be the new Pella city hall in 2006.
