Yuma tribesman and US Army Sergeant and Scout Y. B. Rowdy was one of three Cavalry sergeants awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism on March 7, 1890, (or perhaps March 15, 1890) which award was actually for continuing courage during engagements with hostile Apache Indians. Sergeant Rowdy's citation note his: Bravery in action with Apache Indians."
Also earning Medals of Honor on this date and for similar bravery were Sergeants James Daniels and William McBryar.

I found myself wondering if the grave next to his, with "Hoschiss, Indian Woman" carved on it had any relationship to Rowdy.
